Community Centre & Park Granted Planning Permission

Great news from Dunnamaggin this week, our proposal for a community operated park, market space and the adaptive reuse of an existing barn for a new community arts centre has been granted planning permission.

The community has also been awarded substantial funding from the Town and Village Renewal Scheme to build the project.

It is an exciting milestone in our work with this village, which began in 2021. Workhouse Union paired us with Dunnamaggin Development Group for a public engagement and co-design process.

At Islander we enjoy working directly with the public to tease out design solutions for their communities. As architects, we have the skills to design proposals that can help enhance the public realm, local contexts and local economies.
