Public Engagement

Better architecture should be within everyones reach. We love to share our knowledge & skills as we recognise the value of alternative methods of design-thinking to tackle complex topics.

We specialise in creating fun ways to engage with people through games or workshops that are egalitarian & empathetic.

Public engagement should not be a tokenistic gesture. Our experience suggests that it needs to be generative & meaningful for the communities who engage with the process. We are conscious of this when we take on these commissions - that the people engaging with us are being very generous with their time & that we owe it to them to try to use this process to spark positive change.

We have devised and facilitated a range of public engagement events, tailored to suit each gathering of people. We take pride in our engagement work, we are full of energy, passion and awareness for each occasion.

We can provide:

  • Community surveys e.g. Sense of Place

  • Architecture workshops for teenagers

  • Conference events (lectures, talks & workshops)

  • Show & tell with constructive feedback

  • Design-thinking workshops for community groups

We begin by understanding your requirements, getting to know the location, actively listening to your expectations & learning outcomes.

We have the knowledge & creativity to deliver meaningful workshops and tools to foster a more agile approach to people-centred governance.

Our talent is that we find ways to get the quietest person in the room to feel comfortable to express themselves graphically or playfully.

We have a strong track record working with young people to raise awareness of the positive role that architecture & the built environment can have towards tackling climate change.

Our objective is to make architecture a greater part of everyday culture & society.

Ultimately we want to help people articulate their need for high quality architecture now & into the future.
