Town & Village Renewal

We have consciously located our practice in a suburban town in order to be at the heart of exploring the relationship the suburbs, small towns & villages have with the architecture that makes them.

All across Ireland are existing towns & villages that link our society’s past, present & future in continuum as our built heritage. Within these streets, squares, gardens & forgotten buildings are opportunities for renewal & places to be revalued.

We have the skills, knowledge & passion to carry out Town and Village Health Checks. Our approach is people-centred mixing the analytical with intangible qualities whether that’s from stories, habits or artistic influences. We are creative practitioners & we believe in the added value that design-thinking can bring to the process.

In each community we hold discussions around a map of their area to gain insights into the places & spaces that people cherish.

We analyse the patterns of movement & proximity to local businesses such as cafes & shops to determine a vision for a particular site that will undergo urban renewal.
