Plyscape

Plyscape was an interactive architectural workshop created by Islander Architects for teenagers for Cruinniú na nÓg 2022.

Plyscape allowed participants to build increased agency over their built environment as they customized and assembled plywood structures.

With this simple kit of parts they explored their creative expression and in doing so transformed the public realm for the better; from a single chair to a performance space - the possibilities were endless!

All Plyscape participants kept their customised plywood elements for reuse in the future. The demountable elements allows them to build, reconfigure, and rebuild to create better, inclusive public spaces for teenagers.
