Planning Permission Granted!

Planning has been granted for a sensitive renovation and extension to a single storey house in Phibsboro. The existing house had been vacant for many years, so it is exciting be bringing it back to life with a reimagined layout. Sustainable materials will be used throughout this project.

Demolition Take Down Launched!

What is more difficult, to demolish an existing building or adapt it for reuse? Is demolition a problem or an opportunity for the construction industry? Who decides when a building is redundant and scheduled for demolition? Demolition Take Down is a research and engagement initiative aimed at revolutionising Ireland's demolition practices.

Oldtown Village Health Check Launched!

Our New Studio.

Extremely excited to finally open our new studio on Dublin Street, Balbriggan! We have consciously located our practice in Balbriggan town to be at the heart of exploring the relationships the suburbs, towns and villages have with the architecture that makes them.

Thank you to Our Balbriggan and Fingal Co. Council for their support with the shopfront contribution scheme 2023.

Laura & Ciarán both grew up in housing estates and are fascinated with the successes and pitfalls of housing developments of this type: their territory, privacy, personalisation, play and communality, are all areas that interest us.

Our main aim for Reimagining Elderhood was to find out how people live in these estates, within our study area of Balbriggan, and engage with a group of older men and younger women to test ways these housing estates could be developed by their residents to allow them to age in place with dignity.

Delighted that our Curve Appeal project is featured in the home magazine in The Irish Examiner interview with Dermot Bannon about how to get the most out of a consultation with an architect.

We will be exhibiting our work at Making Neighbourhoods, a national seminar exploring creative approaches to community-led neighbourhood making.

The seminar includes panel conversations, provocations, and workshops and takes place on Thursday, June 8th, at Project Arts Centre, Dublin, in partnership with Self-Organised Architecture and Cloughjordan Co-Housing.

The RIAI have released an updated and expanded edition of their guide, Working with an Architect and we are delighted to have our work included in the publication.

The guide showcases the exceptional value an Architect provides throughout a project and addresses many of the common queries raised by clients.
